Cocoona is a leading plastic surgery and aesthetic clinic in Dubai. Before we started working with them in 2015, they were already doing PPC and SEO with another Dubai-based digital marketing agency.
They first moved the SEO for their English website to us. Happy with our performance on SEO over a period of 2 years, they decided to move their PPC campaigns and SEO for their Arabic website also to us in 2017.
At the time of taking baseline rankings on commencement of SEO, we had 11 out of the 40 chosen keywords on Page 1 of Google, and 14 keywords were either not ranked at all or ranked beyond Page 5/ Position 50 of the search results.
Over a period of 24 months SEO commencement, we had 22 keywords ranked on Page 1 (early-2017).
Thereafter, once new content started to be implemented on the website from mid-2017 onwards, we had 31 out of the 40 keywords on Page 1 by end-2017.
From Jan 2020, once the new website went live, the client increased the English SEO keywords to 50. As of Aug 31, 2020, we had 43 of the 50 keywords on Page 1, of which 23 keywords were on Rank 1.
In addition, 21 out of 30 Arabic keywords were on Page 1.
Improvement in rankings is not the main KPI of SEO performance. Growth in organic traffic and conversions are the true indicators of SEO results.
Here too, the results were remarkable. In 2020, despite the COVID-19 situation, organic traffic and conversions were nearly 2X the traffic and conversions for the same period last year (Jun-Aug 2020 vs Jun-Aug 2019).
