Search Engine Optimization or SEO, as the name implies, is the technique of optimizing your website and its content in such a way that it ranks high on the search engine results, whenever a user searches for your product/ service/ business. The aim is to get your web page to rank on Page 1 of Google (or any other search engine) “organic” results, so that you have the highest chances of getting relevant, high quality traffic to your website, thereby increasing your chances of getting new customers and growing your business.
Because hardly anyone goes to Page 2 or beyond….over 92% of searchers do not go beyond the first page of search engine results. This means that if your website is not ranked on Page 1, chances are you won’t be seen by your prospective customer and they will go to your competitor’s site.
SEO is an “inbound marketing” technique because it is based on getting people to your site who are already looking for you. It is therefore, one of the best ways of getting high quality, relevant traffic, and usually one with the highest ROI (return on investment).
SEO is a highly specialized activity, and one which requires the SEO agency to have detailed and up-to-date knowledge of the way in which the search engine algorithms work. Your website and its content are then optimized in such a way that the search engine (Google/ Bing) considers your content as relevant to the user query and shows it in the search results in top positions.
Because these aren’t paid/ ad results, to consistently rank on Page 1 requires your website to be considered by Google as being better and more appropriate than all your competition in response to the searcher’s query. Typically, each page of Google has 10 organic / SEO results, which are besides the paid search/ shopping ads and map listings. So, ranking on page 1 means being on position 1-10 of the results. Obviously, the higher the position, the more clicks you are likely to get.

The core SEO activities can be categorized into two: On-page optimization and Off-page optimization activities. Both are important and effective SEO demands both aspects to be well-executed.
This involves making changes relating to content on the website, and includes creation and implementation of keyword-optimized title tags, meta descriptions and alt tags, update of keyword rich content on web pages, image optimization, xml sitemap update, robots.txt update, website speed improvement, canonical tag, etc. The value of on-page optimization is that it signals to the search engines what your site is all about and makes it easier for the search engines to find and index your content so it can be made available to people searching for your products/ services.
This involves actions that are taken outside of your website or web pages, i.e. off-page. This is important because it is intended to build trust and authority for your web pages in the eyes of the search engines. Off-page optimization activities essentially mean creating reliable, high quality backlinks to your site from other reputed sites – typically such links are blogs, directory listings, independent review sites, quality forums, etc. The greater number of quality backlinks you can create to your site from other reputed sites, the higher your domain authority and the better will be your chances of ranking higher in the organic search results.

At Gr8 Services, we price our SEO services based on an understanding of these factors as applicable to your case. It is for this reason that we refrain from having standardized SEO cost packages.
The standard SEO service offering includes:
– Standard SEO for 1 website for 1 core search engine domain (e.g. Google.ae English)
– A set of defined on-page and off-page optimization activities
It typically does not include:
– Content writing (in addition to what is included in the defined activities)
– Website copy update
– Local SEO
– Website coding changes

For a standard SEO plan, there are 2 components to our price for SEO services:
1. Initial / one-time set-up fee (waived when 12 months payment is made upfront via PDCs or as a lumpsum)
2. Monthly SEO retainer
The SEO services contract is for a minimum period of 12 months, but payable in monthly installments. After the initial period of 12 months, you can cancel the contract at any time with 1 months’ notice. The reason for the 12 months commitment is two-fold: firstly, because SEO needs 9-12 months to start showing proper results, and secondly because a lot of on-page activities are done at the beginning of the SEO project, but we allocate their cost over the monthly retainer.
Do check with us if you insist on a lesser duration for the SEO services, and we can work out a price for 6 or 9 months. We would not advise anything less than 6 months, as that would be a wasted effort and cost.
As a ballpark, the typical cost of our standard SEO service package is AED 2,500 per month for 20 keywords. The set-up fee will be additional. This plan:
– does not include content/ website copy updates
– does not include local SEO
– has a mix of a short tail, long tail, and branded keywords
– is a standard (non-aggressive) plan
– does not including any website coding changes
– is applicable for 1 core search engine domain
