AI Tidbits – Record Your Meetings, Beautify Your Slides – AI Levels Up Again

AI Tidbits – Record Your Meetings, Beautify Your Slides – AI Levels Up Again

Some weeks feel… quietly historic. This is one of them. Meetings now record themselves, manuals are optional, slides glow up with one click, and group chats in ChatGPT are no longer sci-fi. Let’s dive in. 👇

🎤 Capture meetings with ChatGPT Record Mode

ChatGPT now has a record mode in the desktop app that turns any meeting, lecture, or session into a structured summary you can actually use later.

Here’s how to use it:

  • Download the ChatGPT desktop app and log in with a Plus, Pro, Business, or Enterprise account (free accounts don’t get full access yet).
  • Click the Record button during your meeting — a small recording panel runs quietly in the background. (Always ask permission before recording others.)
  • Hit Stop when you’re done, then send the recording to ChatGPT for:
    • A clean summary
    • Key points
    • Action items
    • Suggested follow-ups
  • Keep chatting with your transcript:
    • “Rewrite the summary in bullets for a Slack update.”
    • “Highlight any risks or unanswered questions.”

You basically get Fireflies/Otter-style value without inviting a bot into every Zoom call.

🧠 To-Be-or-Not-To-Be (Working)

Elon Musk has once again gone full sci-fi: he predicts robots will make work optional within 20 years, with a post-scarcity future where money becomes irrelevant.

Whether you find that inspiring or terrifying, one thing’s clear: planning a career now means planning for a world where “normal work” may not look so normal.

📖 Manuals? What Manuals? Just Ask GenAI

Lost the user manual? Too technical? Wrong language? Doesn’t matter anymore — just ask GenAI.

You can let ChatGPT be your “explain this like I’m human” layer on top of any product, gadget, or tool.

Example prompt for confusing instructions:

“I just bought this couch from IKEA, but I’m having a hard time understanding the instructions. Can you explain them to me in a way that a 5th-grader could understand?”

If ChatGPT can’t find the manual online, you can:

  • Take photos of the pages / labels / error codes
  • Upload them with your prompt
  • Ask it to explain what to do in plain language

Example for error codes:

“My LG washing machine, model WM4000HWA, is flashing ‘OE’. What does that mean and how do I fix it? Explain it to me like I’m not a plumber.”

Between vision + web search, we’re pretty much at the point where you don’t need to keep paper manuals at all — unless you’re sentimental. 😊

🍌 Nano Banana Pro & One-Click Beautiful Slides

Google just unveiled Nano Banana Pro (Gemini 3 Pro Image) – an enterprise-grade image model that reasons before it renders. Instead of instantly spitting out an image, it first checks:

  • Lighting & shadows
  • Perspective & depth
  • Physical / logical consistency between objects

Result: more realistic multi-element scenes that don’t crumble on closer inspection.

Details here:

💡 Arif’s Pick: Nano Banana Pro is being wired directly into Slides, Videos, and NotebookLM for easier image generation and editing. One jaw-dropping feature: a “Beautify this slide” button in Google Slides that upgrades your existing slide with a single click.

For those of us who live in decks all week, this is huge. Watch this short demo and imagine the time saved on “make this look nicer” work:

Miss this at your own peril.

👥 ChatGPT Group Chats Go Global

After last week’s limited pilot, Group Chats in ChatGPT are now rolling out globally for Free, Go, Plus, and Pro users on web and mobile.

You can now:

  • Create a shared conversation with up to several people
  • Invite coworkers, friends, or family via an invite link
  • Talk to each other and ChatGPT in the same thread
  • Decide when the AI should jump in, and when it should stay quiet

Important: your personal ChatGPT memory stays private — it’s not shared with the group.

Think: brainstorming pods, study groups, mini war rooms for client work… all with a resident AI sitting in the middle.

Laugh a bit 😊 😊

That’s it for this week’s ride through the AI maze.
Till next Tuesday, stay curious, stay cautious, and let the machines do the boring bits. 🚀
