AI Innovations Weekly: Ideogram 2.0, Perplexity’s Ad Strategy, and AGIBOT’s Robotic Revolution
Ideogram 2.0 was just revealed last week, and it is terrific compared to its previous version and other competitors. The free plan is good for 10 pictures per day (with 4 options each). It is definitely worth using for everyday images that you may need.

It’s happening: Perplexity AI plans to start running ads in fourth quarter as AI-assisted search gains popularity. It is circulating a pitch deck, promoting the app’s reach and increasing usage. The company says its app has been downloaded more than two million times and that it answers more than 230 million queries a month, with U.S. queries increasing eightfold in the past year.
Perplexity said in its pitch deck that its key advertising categories initially would include topics such as technology, health and pharmaceuticals, arts and entertainment, finance, plus food and beverage. Advertisers will be able to sponsor “related questions” below answers and buy display ads to the right or a Perplexity-generated answer.
What will Google’s reaction be? – interesting times ahead! 🤔
We must keep an eye on the results of our group survey done a few weeks ago.
Rumours are rife that the French AI startup Mistral could be working on its own web search platform. More competition! 😅
AGIBOT, a China-based robotics startup, unveiled a family of five advanced humanoid robots. These new models are both wheeled and biped humanoid robots specifically designed for diverse tasks — from household chores to industrial operations.
Their flagship model is built with various sensors and powered by AI that enables it to see and hear as well as understand text, audio and visual information. It was designed to perform tasks as delicate as inserting a thread through the eye of a needle.
These will be shipped out from October onwards, which is just 5 weeks away.
Are you booking one for your house? 😉😉
Enjoy the week ahead.
Till next week,
